Pressure…
I’m applying for fafsa and I need my parents information..
My dad is sleeping and isn’t really wanting to wake up this early.
I told him ” Don’t you want to be proud of me for going to college?”
His retort: “You don’t have to be Jamie in order for me to be proud of you.”
My thoughts: Yes I do. All I’m doing is sitting on my ass day after day not paying bills, eating your food, using electricity and just being a mooch.. Jamie just went to Germany on an internship after graduating FSU as a super senior and making the deans list all 5 years. Mom is proud of her. Dad is proud of her. What am I doing? Nothing.. I don’t have to be jamie but I wish I was. She’s all put together. She has shit to do. Everyone is proud of her. I fuck up everything. I can’t even keep a fucking job. How pathetic?!
I wish I could just start life over.. Knowing what I do now.. Maybe I’d buckle down and figure out what to do with my life…
I don’t want to go to college.. But I don’t want people thinking I’m stupid either..

Orchid Mantis (Hymenopus coronatus) - Malaysia
From Wikipedia:
This species is characterized by brilliant and beautiful coloring and unusual structure; their four walking legs resemble flower petals, and the coloration of the bodies tends to match the environment in which they were raised. H. coronatus shows some of the most pronounced sexual dimorphism of any species of mantis; the males are generally less than half the size of the females. Young nymphs resemble ants with orange and black bodies. As the mantis grows in its environment, its color comes to more closely match the coloration of its surroundings with each passing molt. It has been theorized that humidity and intensity of light play a large role in the final coloration of the adult.
